LAGOS CHAMBER GET NEW DG
The Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) has appointed a new Director – General. He is Mr. Muda Yusuf, hitherto the Deputy General of the organization.
Yusuf holds Bsc. and Msc. Degrees in Economics from the University of Ilorin, from where he graduated in 1983, and the University of Lagos, between 1985 and 1986.
Widely experienced in Economic Research and Advocacy, Yusuf started his working career as a Marketing Officer at Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited in 1986. Three years later, he proceeded to the Nigerian Economist Magazine where he worked as Research Economist and Head of the Business Desk.
Yusuf joined LCCI in 1993 as a principal Research Officer and was promoted Director, Economic Research and Business services in 1995; a post he held until May 2006 when he was promoted as Deputy Director General.
A widely-travelled man, Yusuf was member of the Nigerian Delegation to the World Trade Organization (WTO) ministerial conference held in Mexico in September 2003.
